In 1973…
…a group of educators and concerned citizens founded a chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters to work with Mercer County youth, focusing on impovershed youth and those living in single-parents homes.
Today, we are still a vital part of the social service structure of Mercer County, serving over 500 children annually.
We recruit mentors through word of mouth, outreach, corporate and civic gatherings, and through volunteer programs at several high schools and colleges throughout the country.
