Are you…

  • A good listener?

  • Someone with a big heart?

  • Responsible?

  • Available 3-6 hours per month?

  • Ready for a one-year commitment?

  • Interested in making a life-long impact?

Then you’d make a great Big.

We are matching volunteers over the age of 21 with children between the ages of 6-18 throughout Mercer County on a one-to-one ratio. Matches meet twice a month for various activities like walks in the park, BBBS Mercer events, or just talking.

Becoming a Big is a simple yet rewarding experience that positively impacts children in our community.

I really wanted an opportunity to give back to people who really could benefit from it. I grew up in not a good environment and I didn’t have the support of family and throughout my childhood and throughout high school. I relied heavily on some key mentors, not necessarily for Big Brothers Big Sisters, but in my own life. ... I just want to give back or help people.

A Call for Big Brothers

We’re always looking for more mentors, especially men. We have boys waiting to be matched with a role model. Research shows that having the positive influence of a Big Brother makes a real difference in a boy's life. So join the hundreds of thousands of volunteers who give a young person someone to look up to for answers.
